You can make a difference.

We are always in need of non-perishable food items for our food pantry. Clothing toys, household goods to give to our families house in our shelters. Or donate your unused gift cards. We know many families who could use them.

Your donation allows us to continue providing services to our community and to build on our awareness campaign.

Tell your friends and family about our wish list items. This list is comprised of every day items needed to help maintain the Hattie Lee Burgess Home and the families housed there.

Just a few ways that volunteers make a difference at FSDC.

  • Support clients in the domestic violence shelter

  • Serve a meal at our community-based support groups

  • Organize an item drive

  • Help plan events and special projects

  • Introduce us to friends in the community

  • Support our administrative team

  • Serve as a mentor or tutor to students

  • Help with childcare at community meetings

  • Help with community outreach projects

I appreciate the help from Family Services. I can make it on my own now. I have learned how to cope with a lot of things.
